The learning style test scores were the following: auditory: 45%, visual: 25%, tactile: 30%. According to the test, I am an auditory learner. This information implies that it is easier for me to learn when I hear the information presented. Although it is partially true, I would not say that people can be strictly divided into certain groups. It is easier for me to perceive information with my ears and my eyes, so I am a visual learner, too.
I suspected before the test that my learning style was visual, although I did read the information out loud when I learned it. Usually, I read an article quietly for the first time, then out loud, then quietly once again. Hearing lectures and not seeing the information in textbooks is difficult for me because I might miss out on some bits of information, so I am not a 100% auditory learner. However, this information is useful because I have never tried recording myself reading the notes out loud and then hearing these recordings. I assume it might help me learn materials much more quickly, although I will need to look through them too.
Sometimes I ask my friends or family to read the test questions or the task out loud so that I can understand how I will perceive an oral exam. I would not say, however, that it is easier for me to understand spoken instructions because I would rather prefer written instructions or instructions in signs. Complicated and long instructions are very difficult to understand if they are read out loud, but no handouts are available. I believe that all types of learning should be used to remember the materials successfully.
