Child psychology can be defined as the study of the psychological processes of children but more specifically, how these processes are different from adults, how they develop from birth to the end of adolescence, and how and why they differ for each individual. This branch of psychology deals with how children grow up not only mentally but, physically, emotionally, and their social development. Households with high socioeconomic status tend to have greater opportunities contrary to households with lower socioeconomic status may have less access to essential things for life like health care, and education. (Cherry, 2019) Such factors and environments impact children greatly psychologically and physically.
