Katie is a 22-year-old young woman who became one of the participants in the Disney World rides experience. She mentioned that she was not interested much in such entertainment before and generally had a neutral attitude toward this activity. Before taking a ride in the Twilight Zones Tower, Katie said she would not go there under other circumstances. However, she enjoyed the attraction and recognized its impressive significance. She seems to be a charismatic person possessing the traits of curiosity and braveness. In the Dark Ride with dinosaurs, Katie confessed that she could not stop screaming because appearing out of nowhere figures of artificial creatures were scary. To take a Catapult Coaster ride, Katie had to overcome her fear, but she looked as if she genuinely enjoyed the attraction. One of the experiences Katie anticipated and felt thrilled about was High-Speed Reality because she dreamt of driving a sports car. However, Katie looked the most excited before taking an Unclassified outer space ride; it made her feel shocked and speechless.
Imagining such a ride during quarantine would be especially exciting because there was a lack of activity and excitement. Although I would be fascinated most with the outer space ride, it seems to be challenging to imagine such an experience at home because it involves specific physical effects. Therefore, Katie and I would take the Dark Ride with dinosaurs while sitting in my room with the lights off. I would put houseplants around the sofa to add to the sense of wild nature in the room. In addition, I would look for some small lights or candles to create glimmering shadows in the room. As a result, it would induce Katies and my imagination with these simple sound and visual effects.
Furthermore, I would prepare a playlist consisting of tranquil sounds of nature and thrilling music along with the predators roars. Before we board, I would turn on the playlist, and we would hear the sounds of trees and birds. We would go out of the room and then enter again, pretending as if we got to the attraction and were ready to board. When entering the room, we would take our seats on the sofa. I would not use fake seatbelts because this attraction does not suggest extreme physical movements. However, I would take a broom to imitate safety bars, and we would hold it before us.
Katie and I would sit on the sofa close to one another and lean on each others shoulders. We would pretend that we saw a dinosaur in the room when hearing a scary roar from the speakers. Our bodies would lean to the opposite sides from the glimmering lights, and we could pretend that a dinosaur head could appear there. When hearing another roar from the speakers, our bodies would sway and lean to the back of the sofa.
Hence, when the ride on the sofa starts, Katie and I will be swaying and diving deep into the atmosphere. During this final drop, we will not hold back our emotions and express full dedication to living the scene from the film. I suggest that we will enjoy this experience to a great extent and be glad to have each others back during the moment. Moreover, it might be assumed that we will be interested in seeing the dinosaurs in such detail. Taking into account Katies curiosity and intelligence, she would even consider the described ride as a scientific opportunity to enrich her knowledge about the creatures. From my perspective, I should admit that my interests in biology and the related sciences are modest to an exact degree, and I would be mostly engaged at the emotional level. Still, I do not think that this would be a barrier between us. It would rather be different perspectives from which we will percept the action that could easily accompany each other.
Katie and I would scream and look at each other when getting scared by the dinosaurs. When it would be too scary, one of us could hide the head behind anothers back until these creatures would disappear. The moment the dinosaurs roar would go silent, we would look at each other and smile, sharing the joy of the experienced thrill. Before the last appearance of dinosaurs, a sequence of suspense music would play, which would help me distinguish the last piece of the ride. When it is over, the nature sounds would play again, indicating the end of the ride.
Thus, the depicted scenario indicated that Katie and I would face a considerable range of emotions during the mentioned ride. Given that Katie is an intelligent and curious person with a background in biological sciences it was assumed that she would have an additional stimulus to be part of the entertainment. We would support each others company, as well as enjoy the atmosphere. It would be a great experience for both of us, which could even make us closer and maybe even develop our friendly relations.
