Overview & Purpose
During this course, you will learn to develop many of the essential elements of a Marketing Plan. The purpose of this assignment is to get started on your Marketing Plan Project by taking a look at some of the key elements of a company profile and building one yourself. By completing this assignment, you will be able to explain how mission, situational analysis, objectives, positioning, and product and market analysis affect planning, forecasting and overall marketing strategy which will help you achieve course-level objective 3. It will also enable you to construct an integrated marketing plan which completes course-level objective 10.
You should save this document some place where you can access it. The purpose of the series of assignments is for you to continue to work on the same company throughout the course and develop additional parts of the marketing plan as the course progresses. Be sure the organization and offering you select will 1) remain interesting to you for the duration of the course, and 2) have sufficient information available for you to conduct research and make informed recommendations in your marketing plan. The Marketing Plan Project will be turned in throughout the course in four separate assignments (Modules 2, 4, 6, and 8), and this is Part 1.

To get started on Part 1, follow the instructions outlined below. Part 1 consists of one section that is made up mostly of data and information that you can get online from the company website. This part of the Marketing plan is worth 50 points. If you have questions, please ask your instructor so that you are able to get them clarified prior to turning this in.
