As their therapist, you meet separately with G and with K for half the session to work on one specific issue. That is, one person portrays the PMHNP, and the other person portrays both G and K in each video. (Note, if there are an odd number of students one group will have three students. That group will need to make three videos, with each person portraying the PMHNP.) In your videos, please fill in details such as names, ages, genders, whose house, and so on.
As the provider, use one of the major family therapy approaches in this week’s Psychotherapy for the Advanced Practice Psychiatric Nurse reading, and use at least one of the key interventions matching that approach. In your post, include at least one scholarly reference other than the textbook on why this approach would work with this family.

Scenario
Married for 10 years, G and K’s family recently moved in with one of their parents, who has a three-bedroom house. G has been without a job for two years, during which time K has returned to work after being a stay-at-home parent for eight years. K’s income has not been enough to pay their mortgage and other bills. G feels inadequate as a provider.
They have three school-age children. Teachers report the children have been acting out and their performance has been declining since the move.
G and K’s relationships with each other, their parents, and their children are highly stressed.
