General Guidelines for Resource:
For media resources (videos, podcasts, other recordings):
minimum of 5 minutes in length, however, it should not exceed the 10-minute mark
uploaded through an attachment OR accessible through shared links (YouTube, Google Drive, Dropbox)
For multi-paged handouts, brochures, or other created documents:
minimum of 3 pages in length
uploaded as a word document or PDF file
For non-digital resources that cannot be uploaded into Canvas (created items, objects, or tools):
brief 2–3-minute video explaining or demonstrating the created resource (if applicable)
Note: Due to the creative and flexible nature of the resource component, students who are unsure if their resource requires specific guidelines should consult with the instructor in a timely manner to ensure that created resources will satisfy general guidelines.
General Guidelines for Reflective Essay:
The reflective essay will highlight the skills that you have developed over the semester while working on Project Success. The essay should meet these general guidelines for MLA formatting (refer to MLA sources on Canvas for more information):
Title page
3-4 pages in length
Written in Times New Roman font
Double-spaced
Organized structure and flow of ideas
Incorporation of evidence from at least 2 class readings with academic citations
Works Cited page
Explanation of what you’ve learned by completing Project Success considering the prompts:
How did you come up with the idea for your resource? How did the research you conducted inform your resource?
Why might this resource help future students?
What did you learn about research by completing this project?
What did you learn about reading/writing skills?
What did you learn about time management by completing this project?
