OVERVIEW
You are required to complete a final project analyzing your own approach to management and describing how you will integrate best practices learned in this course. You will create a personal development plan that benefits yourself and the organization in an ethical manner. Theories and models of management should be considered and evaluated in this project.

GUIDELINES
The final project is a paper of 500 to 1000 words (3 to 5 pages, double-spaced), not including the title page and references. In the paper, you should:
Include three to five scholarly references and properly cite sources in APA format.
Demonstrate comprehension and analysis of course topics and objectives.
Use personal examples to best illustrate the concepts you are describing.
Present original work and write in a well-organized, logical manner.
Display proper grammar, spelling, and mechanics.
INSTRUCTIONS
To complete the final project, select a past or current job to illustrate how you will use the principles of management learned in this course. If you are unable to identify a current or former work setting, select some other organization you have been a part of such as a school, sports team, religious group, or community volunteer setting.
Describe the organization (services and/or products provided), the work environment of the organization, and any major internal and/or external challenges and opportunities the organization faces. Briefly describe your specific position, title, duties, and responsibilities within the organization. (You may use the same information submitted in Written Assignment 1 for this step of the project.)
Provide an analysis of which management models, theories, or practices covered in this course align with your beliefs, personality, ethics, and vision. Be specific and provide examples. Keep in mind the context of this paper (your organization or one that you have been involved with) as you consider various management principles, models, and concepts.
Create a personal development plan for enhancing your management skills in order to help the organization respond more effectively to the internal or external challenges and opportunities. Your personal development plan should include the following:
Core skills and behaviors you need to master
If and how you will form new relationships with key people inside and outside of your company
Key indicators of successful progress
How you will continue to grow as a manager and leader
Explain how your personal development plan would demonstrate appreciation for diversity, team performance, ethics, and communication with others.
Finally, provide a list of action steps to implement your personal development plan. Include a discussion of how your choices would help you improve as a manager and help the organization respond more effectively to the internal or external challenges and opportunities in an ethical manner.
