The increasing use and reliance on technology have a specific term in the psychological sector: Applied science dependence  which is a more apt name than technology applied science addiction. The use of tech is so common and trusted today that doctors have started recommending going for technology detox. One of the rising trends which are included in the Oxford Dictionary where this treatment is composed of spending time where the person does not use any electronic device like smartphones, computers, or any data processors in order to minimize stress and concentrate on reducing stress and creating real-life social interactions in the physical world.

To understand the intensity of technological addiction, a person who uses the internet, computer networks, smart devices, or any such technologies could ask themselves or their friends if they can spend the day without their gadgets.
