Abstract
Science is an essential aspect for the growth and success of art and design. The incorporation of Science in art and design can help to improve and diversify skills. This is similar to the idea of social co-creation towards the creation of value. For instance, the scientist, computer scientist can help create sophisticated and advanced applications in favor of the art and design industry. These computer-based tools display potential for favorable development in information and advancement in technology for the art and design industry. The center objective for this research is to locate art and design and scientific model and give comprehensive details on this social co-creation that will lead to the value and success of the two disciplines.
Introduction
Art and design is a broad discipline that includes smaller subsets such as arts in design, interior design arts in planning, among others. Arts and design mainly involve visible arts such as painting and curving. Most of the activities require planning and trying out different methods.
By a more significant proportion, art and design dominate our modern world and are hardly imagined life without design. Art had dramatically improved since ancient times when the design was majorly limited to wood and stone tools and painting until the design is done digitally. The history of art and design is an idea that traverses the totality of human existence; therefore, it can inspire and infuse modern artists. Design began way back in 1440 after the innovation of the printing press. Humans had intrinsic force towards art, evidenced by the stone paintings set back in the prehistoric period. Now Complex software is used to develop more complicated designs, making art and designing one of the most growing industries globally.
Research query is how the art and designers and the scientist define the ways of creating value. Can they cooperate for the gain of the two industries? For the smooth growth and benefit of the art and design discipline, co-creation with the scientist is a significant move. Science is closely related to technology and always go hand in hand; therefore, scientist can contribute much to the art and design industry in term of innovation and technology. Today we can use technology spears heads most sectors and have helped improve such initiatives in speed quality and feasibility. Likewise, tech has dramatically helped in the migration of the design industries from slow and low-quality designs to sophisticates and valuable blueprints.
The results of any given entity or industry are constantly creating value in terms of the quality of the products. The art and design industry is one of the entities that aims at improving productivity to improve the standard of its portfolio.
This caliber improvement can only be achieved through cooperation by the scientist, but the query is whether the collaboration cab is successful. According to Maybrys review, based in Thailand, the artwork is being assimilated into development schemes; this shows an association between political-economic and creative expression. Some societies never appreciated the artists work, and only the royalty enjoyed the art portfolio. Artists produced magnificent artwork, but the local people did not have a chance to enjoy it (American for the arts 34). The Chinese are one of them since they only show the tourist their artworks and museums. Development of the art and design through the increase in its value will contribute to the diversification of the industry.

Literature review
According to Braund & Reiss (19), the name science can be built and appear entirely by adding the word arts. Science seems to have been fully developed today without any effects or contribution from the arts. However, there are ways by which both science and art supplement one another. Some of this interdependence has been noticed from the individual lives of the scientist. It can also be concluded that Science can be made more successful and complete when related to arts. These can be used to direct to the fifth premise, to identify a situation in which arts enhance how science disciplines and teaching methods seem to change-making science studies authentic and demanding.
Based on the design science point of view, a favorable learning environment plays a vital role. The design has mathematical equations linked in a specific way, leading to successful objective attainment. Mathematics being a science, clearly shows that innovation is interdependent to Science. These computer-based tools display potential for favorable development in information and advancement in technology for the art and design industry. The industrys gradual dropping value and the portfolios produced from the art and design discipline and little consideration of the sector, especially the local people.
It can also be noted that the design research approach, which supplements the establishment of a favorable learning environment, may practical learning of the stipulated learning process to acquire proof of both theoretical thought and design discipline. Science requires more empirical activities that direct evidence, while art is more of words and actions with no actual evidence. However, both supplement each other and share ideas and thoughts (Nührenbörger et al. 34).
Association of artist and scientist are becoming a rampant idea in the society. This collaboration is perceived as art favoring Science, where skills and methods used in Science are used to communicate scientific ideas. Improved forms of partnerships come in when experimentally fueled operations have emerged more than the past 30 years, where artists and designers work hand in hand with the scientist. They collaborate to identify creative possibilities and a better future that are common among the two disciplines. (Roughley et al. 22)
Artists and scientists are more the same as typically perceived by many. They both subscribe to the same drive to define and interpret peoples experiences. Artists can explain the ideas someone has in mind using the word, and scientists can translate the thoughts into figures and related equations. What propels innovation in the field of Science is fully linked to the ways we express ideas artistically. The industrys gradual dropping value and the portfolios produced from the art and design discipline and little consideration of the sector, especially the local people.
From Albert Einstein, greatest scientist are the best scientist as well. Maybe one of the main reasons why Nobel-winning scientist is thrice more possible to possess arts avocation. The art and science association outcomes also originate from products, which tend to challenge the nonscientist (Gurnon et al. 34). Concern from the education sector stresses the positivity of providing a concrete foundation in Science for learners.
Art and Science have existed together, usually not contrastable from each other. Information of the ancient documents originates from the Islamic religion. Art and Science are linked in convolute star-shaped architectural drawings and use of light and used material science in the design of utensils. It can also be concluded that Science can be made more successful and complete when related to arts. These can be used to direct to the fifth premise. Cultures. Bothe Science and arts share the exact origin in the definition and evaluation of nature, but their method continues to contrast as time moves by. Hence, the reasoning became largely fueled by specialization and research-based questions (Zhu & Goyal 11). Art with time arts evolved into a new discipline, and methods also transformed. Nonetheless, there are still many places where the two intersect both today and in ancient.
Traditionally, art and design and Science have been handled as two different fields, but when they are learned together, each one impacts another (EBSCO 46). A level of creativity is needed to solve science solutions, while art is just a display of scientific knowledge. Think of the Science used in mixing paint incorrect quantities or creating images in drawing or imagining. Art of visualization has been used to write information about the world so many years ago, from a stone drawing of animals that enables the scientist researchers to obtain information about flora and fauna. One of the standard connections between art and Science is the master Leonardo Da Vinci. While Mona Lisa is possibly the famous article ever painted, a scientific portfolio was recently displayed at the Boston Museum of Science.
In the current teaching and learning environment, Science and technology have been pivotal in changing how the education system works. The integration of science and technology in the learning process has seen significant collaborations between Science and arts to improve learning and the products produced in art and design (Uni tutor 14). The use of computer plays in art and design has played a central part in analyzing the several types of works done in art and design; this has opened up ways to create art in the realm of imagination.
Methodology
The research questions formulated for a given research problem dictate the appropriate approach upon which the study will be carried out. The main agenda for this research, particularly on this research question, is to find out the best way to improve art and design and make the works of the artist and designers appreciated. Therefore, the purpose of this section of the paper is to describe; research design, target population, study area instruments of data collection, sampling techniques, pretesting of the research instruments, sample size, validity, and reliability of the research, the data collection techniques, how it will be analyzed and the ethical issues surrounding the investigation.
Research Design
This study intends to use a descriptive study design in which the two available study designs will be used; secondary data and review of previous studies; these will be used to obtain both quantitative and qualitative data. These data collection techniques are chosen because they cut the cost of research and will not limit the analysis by allowing data collection from the sizeable targeted sample in an easy way (Kothari, 18).
Study Area and Instrument of Data Collection
The study area is where the research will take place, including the target population, geographical location, and the volume of secondary and primary data. Fulfilling the obligations in research can be pretty challenging, especially in art and design, especially when there is not enough source of funding to run the study either in the form of a grant or other sources of financing. Secondary data addresses the financial challenges because it uses information already available to answer the research questions and test the hypotheses. This method saves on time and the resource; it also has lesser risks to the participants and gives the researcher the freedom to use extensive data sources and longitudinal data. The research is desktop-based and will rely on a review of previous studies on the topic to get secondary data.
Validity and Reliability
Validity refers to the extent to which the research is credible and believable. The genuineness of the findings guides it. To ensure the validity of the content, the guide questions will cover all the objectives of the study comprehensively and test the hypotheses in the paper. There will be experts opinions and supervisors from the related fields of design and naturally design-oriented scientists.
Data Collection Techniques and Procedures
Data obtained will be based on previous research data on the topic from the internet. This will be done by reviewing the scholarly works based on design and how Science has contributed to its growth. The data to be used will be obtained from public governments and private companies using various computer software like Microsoft Excel and Microsoft to categorize and store the data for analysis.
Data Analysis
Data collected from the secondary sources will be analyzed to get both descriptive and inferential statistics based on bar graphs, mode percentage, pie charts, frequency tables, Chi-square correlation, and regression analysis. Before using secondary sources like the internet, the searcher is obligated to consider looking into how it is presented and arranged, which might determine the possible results of the analysis. After looking into the data then a determination will be made on which sources to be analyzed.
Ethical Considerations
The success of any given research depends on adherence and compliance with ethical norms. According to (Resnick 23), models in research promote the research goals like knowledge, trust, truth, and avoiding errors. Resnick (35) further states that research is a process that involves strong cooperation and coordination between the researcher and the respondents in various disciplines as well as institutions. This research will heavily rely on data collected from previous studies on the topic; thus, plagiarism should be avoided at all costs.
Conclusion
Science has led to technological advancements that have had a significant impact in the world of arts and design. People struggle to be at par with the daily changes being introduced in the market. The field of art and design technology has brought immense growth because the artists and scientists have cooperated to improve the value of their products as they are tailor-made to suit the market and complement each other. The literature review shows that the art and design players have to stay ahead and updated in the dynamic world. Failure to which some arts and designs will lag due to lack of supporting technology like the equipment and the integration into digital media. Although there are a few challenges in moving art into the new technology, the gains and benefits are immeasurable, bypassing the challenges.
The issues raised in this paper should be addressed to ensure the designs that are developed match the scientific revolutions because the new technology does not support the old design methods and approaches. Embracing technology is advisable since it will preserve the fundamentals of the different subgroups of art and design. Therefore, art and design must adjust and move with the changes in technology as everything in the world is doing; becoming rigid denies the new generation access to strategies and creates a gap that is hard to fill in terms of education and even the patent issues. Generally, the paper has discussed the benefits of collaboration between art and design and Science and how they have added value both in Science and crafts and design.
