It goes without saying that all people across the globe deserve good health and well-being. As I am pursuing a degree in nursing, I know that the responsibilities of health care specialists include not only the provision of quality health care delivery but the prevention of health issues as well. At the same time, despite substantial historic achievements in improving maternal health, reducing child mortality, and managing multiple diseases, factors of poor health still exist (Joint SDG Fund, n.d.). Millions of people annually face AIDS, cancer, cardiovascular disease, diabetes, and other illnesses and do not receive necessary treatment due to the absence of health coverage. That is why one of the Sustainable Development Goals is the promotion of good health and well-being. It implies the support of vaccination-related research and the provision of access to health care services and vaccines for people all over the world for the reduction of existing pandemics and the prevention of new ones. I believe that nurses and even ordinary people may contribute to these goal achievements.
I am studying good health and well-being promotion initiatives because I want to understand the scope of existing health issues and the existence of potential solutions in order to help my readers realize the importance of the promotion of good health for everyone and assess their potential contribution to it.
