Throughout all the history of development of society people have always suffered from different diseases. These illnesses made the life of people miserable and unhappy. That is why, people tried to find some way in which they could avert illness or cure a person.
Great number of efforts were devoted to this question in order to solve the problem. Additionally, it should be said that due to the difference in mentalities of people, who lived in various regions, different points of view and different ways to cure people appeared and became popular.
The Western world developed the practices which became known as traditional medicine. However, in some regions another practice obtained popularity and nowadays, at least half million people believe in the power of Ayurvedic Medicine (Ayurvedic Medicine., n.d.). Surprisingly, it turns out that this kind of medicine has very developed infrastructure and scientific approach to the issue of health care. The movie presents a viewer a great number of facts about Ayurvedic medicine and different ways in which people are healed. However, it is still relevant and people still use practices described there. However, from the video it becomes obvious that nowadays it is rather modern and well organized practice which attracts hundreds of people all over the world. It should be said that I did not have much information about this issue before watching the video. Moreover, my image of Ayurvedic medicine was based on some traditional prejudices and stereotypes and was associated with low quality and primitive services. However, this video changed this image completely.
First of all, it should be said that the most surprising thing is the way in which the whole issue is organized. It is rather professional. Moreover, people who work there have to spend great part of their life studying the main aspects of Ayurvedic medicine.
